I’ve never made it past 5 days without shaving. on day 5, I look like a suspect and shop owners follow me around stores while I browse for candy (gummi bears or jelly beans?).
My face hair grows in the most patchyness of ways. Days 1-3 are just mustache, followed by the chin. Cheeks don’t come in for nearly 4 days. You’d think I was a chia pet.
Anyway, even if I did go a week without shaving, I’ve always worked professional jobs where men must be clean shaven.
Well, over the last month, I tossed out the razor to see what would happen. I know this isn’t a big feat or anything, but its something I’ve always wanted to do and finally tried it.

I had to have some fun with it!

I’ve always been attracted to film. I enjoy writing scripts, filming, editing..all of it. I have a box full of video tapes of me doing everything from rapping to skateboarding in daisy dukes to pouring water on my sleeping roommate.

In Nov of 2010, I saw a contest on the net. It was a video contest held by Samsung. The prize- a brand new samsung galaxy tab.

The first thing I did was scope out my competition. HA! amateurs. So over the course of a week, I put together a short video. Samsung wanted my definition of Freedom and I gave it to them.

Then one day, I received an email from Samsung. I WON! Two months later, I had a Galaxy Tab at my front door. The only shitty part is that I’m currently living in Thailand and can’t play with it!

Project: A year of cell phone pictures

I’ve been getting into “projects” lately…starting with my 100 beer project. This one here was a bit lame, but also a tad amusing.

Goal: compile a selection of 100 photos taken with my iphone during a 1 year period.

Our phones are an extension of our bodies. We do everything including sleeping with them. Over the past year (2010) I’ve taken nearly 2000 photos with my iphone. Yep, that’s just over 5 pics a day. I shot everything that caught my eye.

There are a few things I enjoy about camera phone photos. For one, its usually a surprise shot. Rarely is anyone posing and seldom do you have a real camera on you. I also like how most of the photos aren’t “real” camera worthy. I would never pull out my dslr to snap a retro box of cap’n crunch.

Aside from one photo of my iphone screen, all pics were snapped by me. Some were sharped, adjusted or
cropped.

Check out 100 things I snapped from my camera phone in 2010. Many things won’t mean much to you,
but all of them tell a story and if you piece them together you can tell where I’ve been and what antics I got into!

Go Wakeboarding – COMPLETED

Back in summer camp, the counselors would never let us go knee or wake boarding without first being able to water ski. Well I couldn’t stand up for the life of me and never had the chance to wakeboard.

Finally in September of 2010, I got the chance. And a big middle finger to my counselors – I rocked that shit!
